LIXIL Africa launches first of its kind, mobile showroom in Africa

LIXIL Africa is breaking the mould when it comes to traditional showroom experiences by introducing their first mobile showroom in Africa. A unique layout this mobile showroom showcases the best of our ranges.

Traditionally, consumers visit their store of choice and engage with sales personnel on the floor to find out more about the products on offer. It is a model that works but customers aren’t necessarily getting the opportunity to experience the products on offer or, getting to interact with a brand ambassador who has a thorough understanding of the product benefits and functionality.

LIXIL, was recently in the news when this Japanese water, housing and urban development acquired a 100% shareholding of Grohe Dawn Water Technology. LIXIL is a global leader in the provision of water solutions with significant expertise in the global market and the local vision going forward is to see their products in every household in Africa. This region offers great potential as an investment destination and LIXIL Africa is proud to introduce the Pro Tour Truck. 

A concept that originated in Europe, the Pro Tour Truck is in its simplest form a showroom on wheels. The aim is to deliver all the latest LIXIL Africa news, products, expertise and services to local audiences around Africa and to offer free expert advice and inspirational ideas for bathroom and kitchen renovations. What is also exciting is that consumers will receive information on the latest industry technologies and they will have the opportunity to view and experience a wide range of products, including fully functional models.

The truck embarked on its first tour from mid-November 2017 and will be able to serve as a showroom, training centre and creates an exclusive venue for key engagements with industry experts and partners.

From a more technical side, Cube Design Innovations, were tasked to build the Pro Tour Truck. “It was such a pleasure and honour to work on this project and after 3.5 months we successfully delivered a 14m x 2.6m wide trailer, and when fully set up it is 8.1m wide by 14.3m long and 8m high. We have no doubt this is going to be a show stopper and definitely leave a lasting impression on all who have the opportunity to experience this exquisite mobile showroom”, said Hennie Schoeman, CEO at Cube Design Innovations.
